Sony ha anunciado hoy su nuevo mezclador de producción en directo, XVS-9000, diseñado para satisfacer la demanda de producciones en 4K y HD avanzadas derivada del auge del contenido de alto rango dinámico (HDR). El XVS-9000 ofrece hasta 80 entradas y 40 salidas en 4K, in addition to up to 160 inputs and 80 outputs in HD, by adopting the latest interfaces for both IP (SMPTE ST 2110) and 12G-SDI in 4K, as well as a hybrid system of both, ideal for large sporting and entertainment events.

Sony continues to provide efficient and flexible workflows through its IP Live production system, whose interoperability has been strengthened to provide support for two of the leading industry standards: SMPTE ST 2110 Multimedia Transfer over IP and AMWA NMOS Device Registration. A key part of Sony's strategy is its commitment to delivering fully interoperable solutions that are ready for deployment. Sony will also now offer the new 12G-SDI interfaces, which will provide greater freedom of choice to its customers.

The XVS-9000 provides flexibility and functionality to manage live 4K video sources, with a higher capacity processor that includes improved signal processing technology. It also inherits the functionality and performance that has been widely welcomed in the current XSV series, including the popular operation via the ICP-X7000 panel, which features a modular-style design and an OLED display.

They can be installed up to four DME 4K/HD boards in a single mixer XVS-9000, allowing you to configure up to 4 channels of 4K 3D DME to perform 4K live production tasks with a variety of video effects.

The new DME 4K/HD boards are compatible with the entire XVS series and are possible to configure 2 channels of 4K DME in the current XVS-8000.

As the heir to the XVS series, the It is like having several virtual mixers, as it allows you to configure a scalable and flexible system based on the production schedule, all controlled by a single mixer.

Sony expects the XVS-9000 to be available in October.
