New VideoIPath orchestration capabilities in combination with the M2L-X mixer
The latest expansions to the cloud orchestration capabilities of VideoIPath media orchestration platform Nevion, including integration with the cloud-based live production mixer Sony, M2L-X, can be seen at NAB 2025.
Nevion now offers, together with the M2L-X mixer, the possibility of start and stop cloud instances automatically depending on the connections, thus reducing operating costs. On the other hand, the cloud-native version of VideoIPath has surpassed the FTR (Foundational Technical Review) de AWS y está certificada como AWS Partner Qualified Software.
This allows customers to use VideoIPath for the orchestration of virtualized, cloud-based production and playback workflows, alone or in combination with onshore resources.
Now VideoIPath se ha integrado con M2L-X. Also part of Networked Live, the cloud-based live production switcher allows producers to perform video switching and mixing of audio, graphics and subtitles, remotely from any location over the network with simple setup and minimal deployment time. The new integration means that VideoIPath can now orchestrate signals from the ground to the cloud, and through the cloud to an M2L-X instance. VideoIPath can also stop M2L-X when it is not needed and start it when it is, ensuring that it only consumes as many cloud resources as necessary.
This new start/stop functionalitya adds to a previously announced acceleration and deceleration capability. Although the latter provides optimal use of cloud resources, it may not always be practical for more complex and intensive processes, such as a cloud switch or multiviewer. Starting and stopping such instances is usually faster and more efficient.
