The Israeli manufacturer of plugins and DSP systems presents a solution for adding faders and physical controls to the eMotion LV-1 live mixer.

The LV-1 mixer, a live and broadcast mixing solution introduced last year by Waves, will now have new control surfaces. It is a scalable system based on SoundGrid, a low-latency audio processing and transport network developed by Waves, and with I/O possibilities in analog audio, AES, MADI, ProtoolsDigiLink through DiGiGrid interfaces and/or the Tactus system from Crest Audio.

The components of the system are therefore the I/O interfaces (previous), the SoundGrid process server –Impact, One or Extreme-, the mixer client PC and optionally the use of touch screens and MIDI or MackieHue controllers.

The Icon controllers are specially designed for use with the LV-1 and come with the specific driver that allows easy mapping of the mixer functions. They connect to the PC via a USB cable. Up to a maximum of 4 surfaces can be assigned per mixer.

Among the new features, the Icon Platform M stands out, a compact surface with 8+1 motorized faders to control inputs, plugins, and buses. It also includes 8 multifunction knobs, illuminated function buttons and a jog for quick access to parameter settings.

Waves has also launched Icon Platform

Finally, highlight Icon D2, an LCD display to be attached to the Platform M and X to display channel names and the parameters that are currently being modified.
