More than 25 conferences and an exhibition area with 45 stands have shown at the Dell EMC Forum the latest trends that enable the necessary transformation of business to the new digital environment.

Dell EMC Forum 2017

Dell EMC has brought together more than 2,000 customers and partners in Madrid for the second edition of the Dell EMC Forum, the annual benchmark event for professionals in the technology sector. Under the motto Realize Your Digital Future, this meeting has been held in 65 cities around the world throughout the year, with the aim of offering concrete answers to the challenges that companies and public organizations face every day in their digital transformation processes.

The event was opened by the general directors of Dell EMC in Spain, Ricardo Labarga and Isabel Reis. Ricardo Labarga, general director of Dell EMC Commercial Business in Spain, has focused his intervention on the four pillars on which the new era that is emerging now is based: Digital Transformation, IT Transformation, Workplace Transformation and Security Transformation. “There are four areas that every organization must work on to make change a reality, and within the technology sector only Dell EMC has the necessary capacity to cover all of them.”

This has been possible thanks to the merger of Dell and EMC a little over a year ago, giving rise to the birth of Dell Technologies, a group that includes Dell Innovation, Dell EMC, Pivotal, RSA, SecureWorks, Virtustream and VMware, "all in a single family of strategically aligned businesses, each acting independently, but working closely. This unique structure allows us to innovate like a startup, but with the capacity of a global power," concludes Labarga.

For Isabel Reis, general director of Dell EMC Enterprise Business in Spain and Portugal, "no other company in the technology sector is as well positioned as Dell EMC to become a strategic partner for its clients, by providing them with proven experience and infrastructure solutions that cover the entire IT ecosystem, from the edge to the core and the cloud. Also providing flexible financing options that allow them to maximize resources and minimize risks. Betting on Dell EMC means turning the possibilities of business transformation into a reality."
Dell EMC supports its leadership in three fundamental factors. First of all, innovation. Dell and EMC have invested a total of $12.7 billion in R&D over the past three years. Following the creation of Dell Technologies, its founder, Michael Dell, announced an investment of $4.5 billion annually in R&D. Secondly, the most powerful partner community in the IT sector, with the necessary knowledge and experience to advise each organization according to the needs of their business. Finally, a portfolio of solutions and services that covers the entire technological spectrum, occupying a leading position in the markets of PCs, Servers, Storage, Next Generation Networking, Virtualization, Security, Cloud Infrastructures, Converged, Hyperconverged, SDDC, PaaS...

Making the digital future a reality

This year, Dell EMC Forum was attended by Gaurav Chand, senior vice president of Global Solutions Marketing at Dell EMC. In his speech, Chand explained how Information Technologies have ceased to be a support area in business development to become an inseparable part of it, stating that "technological innovation is advancing at an exponential rate, driving a new era of digital transformation. We are seeing how organizations are using technology to rethink their business models and completely change the reality of their sectors of activity."

However, according to Gaurav Chand, this process still has a long way to go. "The majority of IT leaders tell us that their transformation initiatives are still beginning or evolving. Many of them cannot commit the necessary resources to IT innovation quickly enough, putting their organizations at risk of being left behind. Others find themselves with limited technology infrastructures, which is a barrier to achieving their business objectives." For all of them, Chand has a message of hope: "at Dell EMC we are committed to working side by side with these organizations to overcome these challenges and make their digital future a reality. Dell EMC offers the most complete range of solutions and services in the technology sector to allow companies and public organizations to modernize their infrastructures and automate the provision of services, increasing business agility and achieving greater efficiency and productivity."

The second edition of the Dell EMC Forum also included the intervention of Mª José Talavera, general director of VMware in Spain, as well as representatives of Vodafone, Edelvives, Techedge and ING, who provided attendees with their respective experiences on their transformation processes.
