The Faculty of Communication Sciences of the University of Santiago de Compostela It opened its headquarters in 1999, more than 17 years ago. At that time, the technical managers decided to equip the radio studios with the Mar4win automation system. AEQ, equipped with five positions: two radio controls and three cutting cabins working against a server. Throughout these years, more than 2,000 students have done their radio internships on this platform.

Manuel Fidalgo, Audiovisual Technician at the USC Faculty of Communication Sciences, comments that "not only were we surprised by the ease with which the students adapted to Mar4win, but what we liked most about the system was its stability. The only inconveniences have been derived from the obsolescence of the computers that supported it, as soon as we renewed them in 2010 everything went perfectly again."

Fidalgo highlights that this migration has been carried out "by preserving the infrastructure we had (two controls and three cutting cabins) and also incorporating a six-position digital newsroom with AudioPlus A+mini, supported by the excellent remote support received from AEQ technicians, Raquel Cortes and Ana Martín."

AudioPlus A+mini adds to its main functionalities (interaction with AudioPlus system objects and simple extraction of continuity marks) the possibility of working remotely; allowing the online creation and modification of broadcast lists, in addition to the editing of audio files and their sending to FTP managers shared in the AudioPlus central system.

“After some time since its installation, we can say that many aspects of its operation have been improved, making them simpler and more agile, such as the export of objects or the possibility of ingesting material into one's own managers directly from a pen-drive simply by dragging them to the manager,” concludes Manuel Fidalgo.
