Paco Caballero directs 'Perdiendo el Este', continuation of the saga 'Perdiendo el Norte'

Atresmedia Cine, Apart Producciones and Acosta Producciones and Warner Bros. Pictures Spain will film 'Perdiendo el Este' in Hong Kong, Pamplona and Madrid.

Two years after the premiere of Losing the Northe Braulio (Julián López) and Rafa (Miki Esparbé) will return to the screen but this time it will be in Hong Kong, the Asian city to which they emigrate in search of opportunities, after their misadventures in Berlin.

Con Losing the East, Paco Caballero makes the leap to feature film directions with the continuation of the hit movie Losing the North directed by Nacho G. Velilla who will be the “showrunner” of this new installment that premiered in 2015 and reached 1,700,000 viewers. Caballero comes from the world of short films where he has built a reputation with renowned short films such as Double Checkk o Sincerity. He has also worked as a director and scriptwriter for television series such as Cites.

They repeat as protagonists Carmen Machi, Julián López, Miki Esparbé, Younes Bachir and Malena Alterio; and they join the casting of Losing the East: Leo Harlem, Chacha Huang, Silvia Alonso, Edu Soto, Marcos Zhang y Gorka Aguinagalde.

Behind the script we find the usual Productions Apart team composed of Nacho G. Velilla, Antonio Sánchez, Oriol Capel, David S. Olivas and Daniel Monedero.

The filming of this film produced by Atresmedia Cine, Apart Producciones y Acosta Producciones and Warner Bros. Pictures Spain will take place in Hong Kong, Pamplona and Madrid over six weeks.
