'Losing the North' becomes the box office phenomenon in 2015
The film directed by Nacho G. Velilla remains strong at the box office where it has already grossed more than five million euros.
Yes last year Eight Basque surnames broke records at the box office, in 2015 the film Losing the north, directed by Nacho G. Velilla, is on track to continue in his footsteps with a gross of 5.2 million euros.
The film continues to grow in number of spectators since its premiere on March 6, accumulating a total of 801,060 spectators to date.
In its third week of exhibition, the film has achieved a collection of 1,445,000 euros and 205,000 spectators. This means an increase of 16% compared to the figure reached in the first weekend of release.
G. Velilla is the director of two of the highest-grossing comedies of recent years in Spain, Out of Charter y Let the ugly die and achieves again with Perdiendo el Norte, the support of the public.
The film stars a very ensemble cast, headed by Blanca Suárez, Julián López, Yon González, José Sacristán, Miki Esparbé, Úrsula Corberó, Malena Alterio and also features Javier Cámara and Carmen Machi and special collaborations by Arturo Valls and Chicote.
It has in its soundtrack the collaboration of two great performers such as Kiko Veneno and Rozalen who make an adaptation of Cecilia's famous song, Mi Querida España. In addition, Rozalen has written and performed another song that plays in the background of one of the most romantic scenes in the film.
Losing the North, es una comedia romántica sobre la generación perdida. Velilla, equipo que cuenta con una amplia experiencia en televisión como guionistas y productores ejecutivos de series como 7 vidas, Aida, Fenómenos o Los Quién; y que son también los autores de los guiones de sus anteriores películas.
El film está producido por Producciones Aparte, Atresmedia Cine y Telefónica Studios; y la distribución en España corre a cargo de Warner Bros Pictures International España.
