El Terrat produces the late-late show 'La Resistencia' for Movistar+, with David Broncano
This is the first late-late on national television and will be broadcast from Monday to Thursday at 12 midnight just after 'Late Motiv'.
David Broncano takes charge of the new daily program The Resistance. The Movistar+ production in collaboration with El Terrat is the first late-late on national television and will be broadcast on #0 starting this Thursday, from Monday to Thursday at midnight, just after Late Motive.
From the Arlequín Theater, located on Gran Vía in Madrid, the program will offer unconventional interviews, different guests, a live audience, collaborators without prejudices and, above all, a lot of streets.
Andreu Buenafuente, president of El Terrat, admires being "the happiest comedian and producer in Spain. We have 3 comedy programs on a network that has the right habitat for it." "David is a young guy with an old man's head, capable of achieving anything. I feel for him between affection and envy."
Fernando Jerez, director of #0 and entertainment content at Movistar+, points out that “we have capitalized on comedy in our country.” “In #0 we turn 2 years old reaffirming our commitment to innovation and quality. In 2017, on Movistar+, #0 was the absolute leading paid channel. Comedy is a basic pillar of our programming and programs with this theme occupy the top 10 of our most watched programs.”
David Broncano, co-director and host of The Resistance, has assured that “as a comedian doing it in a theater is incredible, and also in a basement, which is something that Ignatius always asks of us.” “As a viewer, I am delighted that there is a channel like #0, that you turn on and know that there is good comedy.”
Awarded in the last edition of the Vitoria FesTVal, David Broncano will now co-direct and present a late-late night show, launching the American trend of launching two late nights a day, millennial, crazy and shameless to reinforce alongside Late Motive the commitment to humor in #0.
Dani Rovira, Antonio Resines, Jorge Ponce, Ricardo Castella, Ignatius Farray, Ter and the best beatboxer (who will act as the orchestra) Grissom, are just some of the collaborators who will accompany David from Monday to Thursday in The Resistance.
The program will take advantage of its location in the heart of Madrid to immerse itself in the Madrid nightlife with surprising connections. Taking advantage of the fact that the street belongs to everyone, Broncano will go out to see what's going on and, if there is a problem with a guest, he can always send someone to the corner to look for celebrities.
The program will revolve around the Broncano universe, with the comedian's personal ability to make the alternative mainstream, to make the bizarre a trend and to elevate a trivial detail to the category of transcendental. If the Broncano collaborator managed to make the Orcera swimming pool national news, what can he not achieve as a host? What about Israel and Palestine? Let's be ambitious.
CrazyWorld Returns
Starting next Tuesday, February 6, Quequé will take the reins of CrazyWorld, which will continue to be broadcast on #0 every Tuesday at 10:00 p.m.
Valeria Ros, Pablo Ibarburu and the surprising humor of El Mundo Today, with news so delirious that it seems real, join the usual cast of collaborators, such as Paco Calavera, Raúl Cimas, and Ignatius Farray, in this new stage to continue playing CrazyWorld.
