'The laws of thermodynamics', by Mateo Gil, will open the Malaga Festival

Produced by Zeta Cinema, Atresmedia Cine and On Cinema, the film will hit theaters on April 20 from Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia.

The laws of thermodynamics, written and directed by Mateo Gil, will be the inauguration film of the 21st edition of the Malaga Film Festival on Friday, April 13 and will compete for the Biznaga de Oro of the Official Section.

The film stars Vito Sanz (Maria and the others, Shame), Berta Vázquez (Palm trees in the snow, Vis a Vis), Chinese Darín (The Queen of Spain, The embassy) and Vicky Luengo (Barcelona winter night, La Riera).

Completing the cast of this original romantic comedy are Juan Betancourt and Andrea Ros. In addition, it has the special collaborations of Irene Escolar and Josep María Pou.

The film is a production of Zeta Cinema, Atresmedia Cine, On Cinema 2017 and has the participation of Netflix, Televisió de Catalunya, Atresmedia, ICAA and ICEC.

The story is based on Manel, a promising and somewhat neurotic physicist, who sets out to demonstrate how his relationship with Elena, a sought-after model and budding actress, has not been a complete disaster because of him, but because it was determined from the beginning by the very laws of physics, those discovered by geniuses like Newton, Einstein or the fathers of quantum mechanics. And especially by the three laws of thermodynamics.

The laws of thermodynamics will hit theaters next April 20 by Sony Pictures Entertainment Iberia and will have its world premiere at the Miami Festival.
