Written and directed by Mateo Gil (Blackthorn, Nobody knows nobody), Zeta Cinema and Atresmedia Cine have started filming The Laws of Thermodynamics. The film will be shot over seven weeks in various locations in Barcelona.
This somewhat unusual romantic comedy stars a cast of young and promising actors led by Vito Sanz (Maria and the others), Berta Vázquez (Palm trees in the snow), Chinese Darín (The Queen of Spain) and Vicky Luengo (Barcelona winter night). They are accompanied by Juan Betancourt, Andrea Ros and also have the special collaborations of Irene Escolar and Josep Maria Pou.
The film has the participation of Televisió de Catalunya, Atresmedia, ICAA and ICEC and will be distributed by Sony Pictures Releasing Spain.
Synopsis
It is surprising how well the laws of physics adjust to relationships. It is enough to translate certain scientific concepts into the sentimental field and even, in some cases, to take them literally, such as gravity or 'attraction of bodies'. This is the idea that drives The Laws of Thermodynamics, a romantic comedy, which adopts the structure of a documentary, and which we could summarize with the phrase “a more or less insecure boy falls in love with a girl who is too attractive.”
