'The Purple Network' is filmed, sequel to 'The Gypsy Bride'

Paramount, with the participation of Atresmedia Television and in collaboration with Diagonal (Banijay Iberia), has started filming La Red Púrpura, adaptación de la segunda entrega de la saga de Carmen Mola tras la celebrada The Gypsy Bride.

The new fiction, que se podrá ver en España a través de Atresplayer Premium, volverá a contar con Paco Cabezas (Fear the Walking Dead, Penny Dreadful, The Umbrella Academy) a la dirección, si bien compartirá las labores de dirección de sus 8 episodes de 50 minutos con Juan Miguel del Castillo (Roof and food, La maniobra de la tortuga).

Montse García, Paco Cabezas, Jordi Frades, Jaume Banacolocha, Albert Sagalés, Darío Turovelzky, Sebastián Vibes, María Cervera y Cristina Alcelay They are the executive producers of the series. The script is coordinated by José Rodríguez, in charge of writing the series together with Antonio Mercero, Susana Martin Gijón, Carmen Jiménez and Daniel Sánchez Arranz. Production direction is carried out by Laura García. Andreu Adam y Victor Benavides are the directors of photography, with Guillermo Spoltore as Art Director, Miguel Ángel Trudu as Assembly Director. The musical composition is carried out by Zeltia Montes.

The purple network will have the actress again Nerea Barros as Elena Blanco, a veteran homicide inspector from the BAC (Case Analysis Brigade) who continues the search for her son Lucas, kidnapped 10 years ago. Millán (Rentero), Ignacio Montes (Zárate), Mona Martínez (Mariajo), Lucía Martín Abello (Chesca), Vicente Romero (Orduño) and Francesc Garrido (Buendía) continue with the characters they played in The Gypsy Bride. "Inspector Elena Blanco has discovered that her son Lucas is alive, but he belongs to the sinister Purple Network, which Vistas told her about before its dramatic outcome. Six months have passed and the inspector hides from her team that her son is among them; only Mariajo, her faithful confidant, knows the truth."
