Sony will inaugurate the new Digital Media Production Center in Los Angeles on May 1

Next May 1 Sony will inaugurate the new Digital Media Production Center (DMPC) located at Media Center Drive (Los Angeles, USA).
Its primary mission is to provide the content creation industry, including broadcast, production and digital cinematography, with a one-stop resource for everything related to Sony's cutting-edge technologies and end-to-end production workflow solutions.
The new DMPC will serve as a showcase platform for Sony's new Venice full-frame cinema camera. The facility will also house a screening room on Sony's Crystal LED display system and digital cinema projectors. In addition, Sony's 4K live camera system, HDC-4300/HDC-4800, and IP Live production system will also feature, along with a range of imaging technologies from the α7 and α9 series full-frame sensor interchangeable lens cameras and α lenses, to Sony's smallest production camera, the RX0.
Katsunori Yamanouchi, president of Sony's Professional Solutions Americas group, said: "Filmmakers and content creators of all genres and levels will find DMPC an invaluable resource for keeping up to date with the current state of arts technology, as well as a place to meet with colleagues and share experiences. If your job involves creating, producing and distributing digital images, then DMPC is the perfect resource for your needs."
The new DMPC symbolizes Sony's continued efforts to contribute to the content creation sector by taking image culture and technologies to the next level. This center joins others around the world, such as the center of excellence for filmmakers based at Sony's Pinewood Studios.
Sony Europe's Digital Motion Picture Center (DMPCE), based at the iconic Pinewood Studios, is a meeting point where European filmmakers can experience first-hand Sony's high-end film cameras at the heart of the UK film industry. The DMPCE also has an exclusive IP Live studio, a facility dedicated to showcasing the entire IP ecosystem and which serves as a training center for broadcast networks, producers, engineers and technicians, as well as a test bed for interoperability with third parties.
