RecordTV renews and expands services with Vantec

The Brazilian broadcaster renews and expands services for virtual scenography, tracking and augmented reality at its headquarters in São Paulo with Vantec. The integrator has also carried out an integration of STYPE's Red Spy infrared tracking in RecordTV's Lisbon studio.

The Brazilian broadcaster RecordTV has renewed and expanded services for virtual scenography, tracking and augmented reality at its São Paulo headquarters with the integrator Vantec. Since the London Olympic Games, Vantec has maintained a close relationship with RecordTV, providing technical and consulting services, including the main virtual studio.

Together with the news studio of the Catalan TV3, also integrated by Vantec, this RecordTV studio in São Paulo is one of the largest virtual studios with infrared tracking in the world.

In the case of the Brazilian broadcaster, it trusted the Portuguese integrator for its long experience in guaranteeing quality support to its studio from where some of its most popular spaces are produced. In this virtual studio, the advanced graphics of the virtual set system are masterfully combined with the infrared tracking system, achieving a striking result.

André Dias Arnaut, graphics manager at RecordTV in Brazil, highlights that "Vantec is a strategic partner when it comes to supporting our virtual systems in real time, with very dedicated and technically prepared professionals. Today, our systems operate daily and with weekly live programs so that a high degree of availability is demanded."

On the other hand, Vantec has integrated for RecordTV Europe, based in Lisbon, a virtual studio with two cameras with mechanical tracking with sensor heads, and news graphics based on a Maestro graphic workflow integrated with the news writing system. In the case of news writing, journalists only have to choose a graphic template from their iNews position, fill it out, check the preview with full animation and launch it on the list ready for broadcast.

Recently, Vantec has carried out an integration of Red Spy infrared tracking in RecordTV's Lisbon studio. SUPPORT which allows total freedom of camera movement, combining this tracking system with the mechanical tracking cameras in the same studio. The system, with continuous processing of the coverage map, allows the calibration to be refined to the maximum, allowing a significant level of precision, with quick integration and simple support.

Mónica Cañete Palomo, Engineering and Systems Coordinator at RecordTV Europe, points out that "Vantec is a company with a high degree of specialization in graphics systems and virtual studios.
