Sky to launch dedicated innovation center Osterley, London
With more than 6,500 m², the center will experiment with new content distribution platforms, user experience, virtual and augmented reality and other technologies applied to audiovisuals.
Along with his R&D centers in Leed (England) and Milan (Italy), Sky has announced the launch of a new technological development center in Osterley, west of London. With more than 6,500 m² the center will experiment with new content distribution platforms, user experience, virtual and augmented reality and other technologies applied to audiovisuals.
Sky which already has facilities in Osterley will expand its surface with five new buildings which will house the Sky News production center and the new R&D center.
Jeremy Darroch, CEO of Sky, highlighted that “the development of the west London campus reflects Sky's journey over the last 29 years.” "In this time we have gone from being a satellite company to being a leading direct consumer media company in Europe, with content, technology and innovation at the center of our business. We have achieved this by always putting the customer at the center of everything we do and in every decision we make," he added.
