The National Federation of Telecommunications Installers and Integrators (FENITEL) celebrates its 40th Anniversary and Telcom'18 Annual Congress in Madrid.

Smart territories, 5G, Internet of Things (IoT), the present and future of DTT or the Roadmap of the 2nd Digital Dividend, focus the debate at the Congress of FENITEL: 'Telcom'18: United we promote technological evolution' that the National Federation of Telecommunications Installers and Integrators (FENITEL) celebrates this Friday in Madrid coinciding with its 40th Anniversary.

The Secretary of State for the Information Society and the Digital Agenda, Francisco Polo, has been in charge of opening this day, which includes the participation of a panel of top-level experts, representing SESIAD, and the sectoral organizations FORTA, UTECA, UNIRED and Televisión Abierta and the companies: Alcad, Axión, Cellnex Telecom, Hispasat, Ikusi, RTVE and Televés Corporación.

The contents of the Congress have been distributed into four large thematic blocks:

• Promote the implementation of smart territories: Opportunities for the development of the sector.
• Infrastructure operators facing the deployment of 5G and massive IoT enabling technologies.
• The present and future challenges of the DTT platform in Spain.
• The Roadmap of the 2nd Digital Dividend.

The Federation throughout Spain represents hundreds of small and medium-sized companies, which generate thousands of localized and qualified jobs.

The areas of action of FENITEL partners cover both activities related to end users, in their homes and buildings, as well as the deployments of fixed and mobile networks of operators or in companies, industries, cities and smart territories.
