Globecast Digital Media Hub

In IBC 2017, Globecast will launch its new service suite Digital Media Hub for Sports and live events. By adding multiple Virtualized technologies in a single ecosystem, this solution allows a live source to be treated in multiple ways to create adequate content for multiplatform use, both in real time and for later use.

The live transmission can be used for linear retransmission or to transmit to live platforms of the choice of the rights holder, including social media or websites. Using the same live source, the content can be cut manually or automatically, edited, attached to metadata and shared, either short or long. For example, outstanding clips can be quickly shared in social media to maximize the participation of viewers or packages created for OTT platforms.

All edited content (both short and long) is made available through our new Marketplace Platform in multiple formats/different sizes, including transmission quality, and is marked using customer guidelines. This platform facilitates the exchange of content between any relevant part, including the sale of that content, in transactions without problems. All these services can be easily monitored throughout the process using our digital supervision tool.

Digital Media Hub has developed in collaboration with several rights holders that have already used these services.

Globecast XN

Globecast will also show in IBC its solution of Content distribution through public internet, GCXN. In the latest version, Globecast has expanded the flexibility of the service through additional connectivity options in customer facilities. Customers can use Netinsight technology supplied by globaster, or now they can use OEM alternatives. In addition, operators can now also access GCXN through the cloud using a virtual transport application online.

GXCN has also been updated with a new multi -communication capacity, allowing customer connection through two ISPS simultaneously, providing a significantly improved level of redundancy.

Customers can trust GCXN their main distribution services, disaster recovery and monitoring with transmission quality. They can reach new audiences with safe and robust transport through public internet for content distribution. There is a growing GCXN community consisting of ISPs and cable operators, allowing BroadCasters to increase their scope easily and profitably.
