Secuoya Studios begins construction in Tres Cantos (Madrid) of its second phase

This new stage is part of the strategy to create the largest production center in Europe, after the agreement reached with Netflix to locate its first production headquarters in Europe.

Secuoya Studios, the complex created by the group Secuoya initially called TV City continues its expansion and has begun a new phase of construction on the same plot, located in Tres Cantos (Madrid).

This second phase, currently in a state of excavation and foundations, completes the 22,000 square meter facilities, already announced at the beginning of the project, in July 2017. With this new phase, the economic investment will amount to 21 million euros, an amount that when adding the technical means will exceed 30 million euros.

At the moment, the first phase is already built, with a total of 10,000 square meters distributed as follows: 6,500 square meters that house three sets of 1,250 square meters each and which have annexes another 1,710 square meters of offices, dressing rooms, workshops and warehouses, in addition to a large warehouse of 440 square meters, 350 square meters of post-production rooms and a restaurant of 250 square meters. This first phase also includes a 400-square-meter auditorium with capacity for 250 people as well as a 2,850-square-meter corporate office building.

With the construction of the second phase, another 8,400 meters will be added squares intended to serve the needs that may arise in the audiovisual industry. This new phase will have two sets of 1,500 square meters as well as another 900 square meters of areas attached to the production and another in the basement, where different facilities will be located, including a parking lot with capacity for 250 spaces.

This new phase is integrated into the strategy of creating the largest audiovisual production center, framed after the agreement reached with Netflix under which “the world's leading internet entertainment service” selected this enclave as its “first production headquarters in Europe to offer original content in the coming years.”
