TSA remodels the Movistar+ studios in Tres Cantos (Madrid)
The project contemplates several phases of gradual execution, the first of which will address the remodeling of the largest television studios, 1 and 3, in addition to implementing infrastructure associated with the production process such as exterior control, HD signal intake or video matrices.
Movistar+'s determined commitment to the production of its own content has led to the technological modernization of its sets in Tres Cantos (Madrid), carrying out a migration to high definition.
The project being carried out by the engineering management of Movistar+ with the collaboration of Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) contemplates several phases of gradual execution, the first of which will address the remodeling of the largest television studios, 1 and 3, in addition to implementing infrastructure associated with the production process: exterior control, High Definition (HD) signal intake, video matrices, among others.
Later, complying with the roadmap of a phased plan, this measure aimed at promoting the quality of Movistar+'s own production broadcasts will be extended to the rest of the sets that Telefónica's television platform has.
One aspect worth highlighting is the complete renovation of equipment that the new installation entails, including set cameras, video mixers, audio mixers, video servers, and a long list of technical resources.
And it is especially significant that this ambitious qualitative transformation of the Movistar+ television facilities is carried out taking advantage of the synergy between different companies of the Telefónica Video Unit in Spain that will combine knowledge and expertise to develop the first phase of execution of the project without the participation of external companies.
Raúl de Lamo, Head of Program Planning, points out that this project “will allow us to multiply the offer of our own programming in HD quality and provide the platform with a large TV set for football programs, in the style of the world's largest pay channels.”
Ángel Pacho, Engineering and Maintenance Manager of Movistar+, expresses himself along these same lines, who carries the weight of this technical operation in all its scope, also highlighting "the value provided by the choice of Telefónica Servicios Audiovisuales (TSA) as an integrator and distributor of Broadcast equipment, providing advantageous solutions in many ways."
