Localization company Iyuno remodels its Parisian studios with Genelec monitors

Los monitores Genelec son el eje del proyecto de reforma y ampliación de los estudios de París de Iyuno, compañía especializada en actividades de localización como la sincronización labial, locución y audiodescripción, edición de audio, mezcla de audio o la subtitulación.

Gregory Frutin, director general de Iyuno Francia, fue uno de los principales impulsores de una renovación destinada a responder a las expectativas de “nuestros clientes más importantes”. Para Frutin, fue una especie de “reinicio”; una renovación de 11 etapas in which all phases of its work were rethought to offer the best possible service to its clients and respond to all the needs of the industry.

The project was led by Daniele Turchetta, vice president of global dubbing technologies at Iyuno. The acoustics and design of the studio were carried out by the acoustics expert Andy Munro, in collaboration with Studio Sound Service, and the equipment was supplied by Video y CTM. After the renovation, the same team embarked on an expansion project that brought the facilities of 11 to 20 rooms, doubling the recording capacity of 7 to 14 rooms. The number of mixing rooms also increased from 4 to 6 with the creation of a couple of mixing rooms Home Atmos.

Genelec models in the new Iyuno France rooms

The two spaces Home Atmos (Studio 1 and Studio 4) have smart active monitors Genelec intended for immersive audio operations. Specifically, Studio 1 has been equipped with 8361 for the L-C-R together with 8340 for surround and height channels and a subwoofer 7382. For its part, Study 4 has 8340 for the L-C-R and 8330 for surround and height channels, complemented by a subwoofer 7380. In both venues, the GLM calibration software to ensure the correct calibration of the solutions. In the words of Antoine Peres, responsible for technical services at Iyuno France, "we chose Genelec for the quality of its products. We have adapted our choice based on the size and acoustics of our rooms, favoring SPL and precision in very low frequencies."

After the update and expansion, the Iyuno team is very happy with the performance of the different spaces and plans to continue improving its facilities for the future with Genelec.
