Netflix reveals the first images of the ambitious 4K documentary series 'Our Planet', the result of four years of filming
The series, filmed in 50 countries over four years, has been produced by Silverback Films, whose director, Alastair Fothergill, was the creator of the acclaimed 'Planet Earth' and 'Blue Planet'.
Netflix has unveiled the first images of its new original documentary series Our planet, which will premiere on the platform on April 5, 2019. This ambitious series is a creation in collaboration with Silverback Films, whose director, Alastair Fothergill, was the creator of the acclaimed original series Planet Earth y blue planet and the conservation organization WWF.
This pioneering series will consist of 8 parts and will present the most precious species and the most fragile habitats on our planet, with never-before-seen images of the Earth, taken with lo latest in 4K camera technology.
This arduous project has required four years of filming in 50 countries and on all continents of the world. Its team, of more than 600 members, has spent more than 3,500 days filming. The series will address the great diversity of habitats on our planet: from the pristine nature of the Arctic and the mysterious ocean depths to the vast plains of Africa and the varied jungles of South America.
