Netflix and Skydance prepare a documentary series about tennis player Rafael Nadal

Rafael Nadal será el protagonista de una serie documental producida por Netflix y Skydance Sports en la que los espectadores descubrirán cómo se desarrollaron los últimos meses del mallorquín como tenista profesional.

La docuserie se centrará en la carrera estelar de Nadal, así como en su vida fuera de la pista, enseñando material nunca visto de su archivo personal y a través de un acceso inédito a la estrella del tenis, su familia y su círculo cercano de entrenadores y consejeros. Asimismo, incluirá un “acceso sin precedentes” a Nadal en su vuelta a la competición en 2024 tras estar alejado de la pista durante gran parte del 2023 debido a una lesión.

El nominado al Oscar y ganador del Emmy Zach Heinzerling (Stolen Youth, Cutie and the Boxer, McCartney 3,2,1) dirige la docuserie, todavía sin título, que producen David Ellison, Jesse Sisgold, Jason Reed y Jon Weinbach para Skydance Sports. Esta productora ha producido grandes docuseries para Netflix, incluyendo próximos proyectos como Aaron Rodgers: Enigma y la serie de la dinastía sobre los Dallas Cowboys.
