Tmediat adds T-21 solutions to its portfolio

T-21 designs content encoding products and solutions for streaming, decoding, transcoding and network protocol translation (NPT) for Broadcast, OTT, content streaming, education, corporate and security applications.

Tmediat has incorporated into its extensive portfolio of represented brands the solutions of T-21. This company was founded a few years ago by Kevin Ancelin, last CEO of Adtec and one of its founders, focusing purely on IP applications. Ancelin has more than 25 years of experience in developing solutions for video compression.

T-21 designs content encoding products and solutions for streaming, decoding, transcoding and network protocol translation (NPT) for broadcast, OTT, content streaming, education, corporations and security applications. With a very special feature, it is the best quality-price on the market.

Broadcasters such as ARD, RTL, ProSieben, SAT.1, Swiss Public Broadcasting, Deutsche Welle, among others, as well as some service providers such as MX1, EBU, CBC, currently use their products. It also has companies and institutions as clients, such as, for example, the European Commission or several news agencies. In Spain, an international sports channel uses many of T-21's encoders and decoders.

T-21 products are all 4:2:0 and have 4 embedded stereo audios, SDI or HDR interfaces, SCTE-35, VPN clients, logo insertion and UHD decoding, embedded transcoding, SNMP PCR... The use cases are very numerous since they support any protocol (UDP/RTP, Zixi, FASP Aspera, SRT, HLS, RTMP,...). T-21 can be used in many ways and often over the internet.

In the first quarter of next year, they will present a new product: the T-529 model that will support 12G-SDI, SMPTE2110, with redundant power supplies.

Their solutions are presented as “stand alone” devices or can be used on an Opengear chassis.

Encoder

The T9261-E model is a card encoder for streaming content in OTT applications. It encodes SDI video, audio, and data for contribution and distribution leveraging HLS, RTMP, SRT, Zixi, FASP, and UDP/RTP network protocols over public and private IP networks.

The T9261-E uses MPEG-4/AVC and MPEG-2 video encoding and provides up to 4 concurrent video resolutions, two frame rates as standard (plus another two optional), and up to 4 stereo audio and closed captioning services with optional KLV and SCTE private data.

Decoder/Transcoder/Protocol Converter (NPT)

The T9261-D is a content streaming decoder with transcoding and network protocol translation (NPT) capabilities. The T9261-D can receive almost any network protocol and CODEC (MP2/AVC/HEVC) and transfer SDI with up to four audio and subtitle services to SDI production workflows.

The T9261-D serves as a Network Protocol Translator (NPT) that converts Internet delivery protocols such as HLS, RTMP, SRT, Zixi and FASP to and from UDP/RTP and/or capture to file.

The optional transcoding function on the T9261-D provides video and audio CODEC conversion, frame rate conversion and protocol translation for a specific streaming platform.

Decodificador/HDR/NPT

The T23 is an ultra-small form factor OTT streaming media set-top box with 4K HDR Ultra HD plus Network Protocol Translation (NPT) support. The T23 can receive HLS, RTMP, SRT, Zixi, FASP, TCP and UDP/RTP network protocols with MPEG-2/AVC/HEVC video CODEC support. “High Dynamic Range” (HDR) is compatible with HDR10 and HLS formats. The T23 serves as a Network Protocol Translator (NPT) that converts Internet delivery protocols such as HLS, RTMP, SRT, Zixi and FASP to and from UDP/RTP and/or capture to file.
