After the closure of its activity in Sweden and Spain, now it is Germany's turn. From now on, it abandons its B2B services to focus on business proposals such as its MaginePro platform.

TV Images, streaming platform launched in Sweden in March 2013 and later in Germany in April 2014 and in Spain at the end of 2013, has finished its activity this January 28th. Magine's service until now included live and open public and commercial television channels, as well as pay television channels in both SD and HD resolution.

The withdrawal of Magine TV is not surprising given the strong competitive environment and the dominant position of proposals such as Zattoo. In February 2015, Magine TV already discontinued its TV streaming service in Spain, followed by the same step in its native country, Sweden, in May 2017.

Germany was the last country in which Magine TV continued to offer a television streaming service for end consumers.

Magine Tv will offer its 150,000 active users to switch to its hitherto competitor Zattoo, which will take over the B2C business. Magine will now focus on its B2B activities worldwide with solutions like MaginePro, a video streaming platform for websites and content providers, ranges from technical platforms to fully managed end-to-end OTT services for the linear delivery of live television and video-on-demand content.

Kamal Bherwani, president of Magine, assures that "we have decided to stop focusing on multiple business models and focus on our B2B strategy. As a result, we are selling our B2C business to our competitor and now partner Zattoo. We want to thank all Magine TV users for their loyalty. With Zattoo, our users are in good hands and can continue to stream high-quality TV with a variety of television channels."

For its part, Nick Brambring, CEO of Zattoo International, regrets "the loss of Magine as a partner in developing a market for modern television distribution in Germany. In return, we are gaining more users and can therefore invest even more in our product."
