ISE 2019 hosts for the first time a summit dedicated to digital cinema
Digital Summit Cinema will discuss how digital technology has revolutionized the production, distribution and consumption of films, and the opportunities that X-Reality (XR) is creating for the next generation of movie fans.
Coinciding with Integrated Systems Europe (ISE 2019) This Wednesday the first edition of the Digital Cinema Summit, a half-day event dedicated to exploring how digital technology has revolutionized film production, distribution and consumption, and the opportunities it X-Reality (XR) is creating for the next generation of movie fans.
The conference, which will take place at the Okura Hotel and will be held in collaboration with Digital Cinema Report, will feature leading digital film technology professionals from around the world, addressing a range of issues facing professionals at all stages of the film industry.
Nick Days, editor and publisher of Digital Cinema Report, will moderate the conference which opens with an opening session offering a Economic overview of the digital cinema market worldwide, directed by Jan Runge, independent advisor to Jan Runge / Cinema; and David Hancock, director of research and analysis, film and home entertainment, IHS Markit.
The day will include a series of panels, including Theatre Sound: Object Based o File Based? con Gerard Loupias, director of business development for film and professional audio in Europe, and David Hernandez, director of film business development in Europe, Samsung Electronics.
The event will conclude with a debate between Dager and former NATO consultant, Michael Karagosian, titled The digital cinema era: How we got here and where we're going.
This digital cinema summit will take place today, February 6, from 2 to 6 in the afternoon at the Okura Hotel (registration from 1 in the afternoon).
