The Short Film Week of the Community of Madrid will have a professional forum and an extensive program of training activities

With the aim of disseminating the short film, which has given rise to great works, workshops, master classes and meetings with professionals from very diverse subjects will be scheduled.

The 21st edition of the Short Film Week of the Community of Madrid, which will be held between April 1 and 7 in 68 Madrid municipalities, will feature this year, in addition to the usual Official Competitive Section and Informative Sections, with all kinds of training activities around the short film and with the celebration of the Third Professional Short Film Forum.

With the aim of disseminating this format, which has given rise to great works, workshops, master classes and meetings with professionals from very diverse subjects will be scheduled. A meeting with the Spanish production companies that have been nominated for the Oscars, a meeting with David Marqués, screenwriter of Champions and a Masterclass by Fernando Colomo are some of the 29 training activities that will take place during Short Film Week.

Among the topics that will be addressed in the workshops are extended reality, how to produce video clips for the Spanish music industry, Super 35 versus full frame, dance in cinema, storytelling, vertical video, deaf cinema, 360º video...

The Third Professional Forum will feature meetings and activities such as the presentation of the Hamburg Short Film Agency or the presentation of Bogoshorts (Bogotá short film festival, one of the most important events in Latin America).

Meetings of Producers and Screenwriters; of Performers and Directors (held in collaboration with the Union of Actors and Actresses), the Short Film Distribution Meeting, the Co-production Forum (which for the first time has international participants thanks to the collaboration of Euroconnection) or the Short Film, Education and Festivals Meeting, are some of the many proposals of this Forum that has already become an annual meeting point for the sector.
