BIT Broadcast takes the pulse of the present and future of the industry in an extensive workshop program
The workshops are structured around eight main axes that will address extensive topics on capture, studio, IPTV, broadcast, radio, cinema, post-production, production and other AV solutions in professional environments.
In parallel to the exhibition area at BIT Broadcast, IFEMA, in collaboration with Panorama Audiovisual, has organized a program of nearly 70 workshops that bring together leading industry experts with professional visitors from May 20 to 22 in a context designed for the exchange of successful projects and experiences, as well as for the analysis of trends. The workshops, which are held simultaneously in two rooms, are structured around eight main axes that will address extensive topics on capture, studio, IPTV, broadcast, radio, cinema, post-production, production and other AV solutions in professional environments.
On Tuesday the 20th, the day begins with a table in which the pulse of one of the hottest topics at the moment in the sector will be taken: Ultra High Definition. Several experts will share the experience of the production of El Prado in 4K, a project promoted by RTVE and of which images can be seen on several screens in the exhibition area of the fair.
Great successes and mistakes when producing in stereoscopic, the keys to choosing the most appropriate optics, the new workflows from ingest to the iPad, media management, on-air graphics, the possibilities of remote production or the formulas to carry out a low-cost audiovisual project are just some of the topics that will star in the workshops on the 20th in tomorrow sessions.
On the morning of the 21st, the workshops will focus on radio and cinema. In the room dedicated to the radio medium, professionals who attend the workshops will learn first-hand about the possibilities that IP multichannel technology offers when setting up a studio; the future of radio content on emerging platforms, or the monetization models of online radio.
In terms of cinema, alternatives to film distribution, new financing methods such as crowdfunding, the possibilities of Spain as a film set, or the relationship between audiovisual and cultural and creative industries are some of the workshops proposed by BIT Broadcast 2014. Among the directors of these workshops is Carlos Rosado, president of the Spain Film Commission.
In the afternoon sessions on the 21st, there are workshops dedicated to taking the pulse of post-production in which issues such as color correction, workflows in 4K environments, three-dimensional immersive sound or the latest trends in effects will be analyzed. In these last two cases, it will be Juanma Nogales (Twin Pines), nominated for a Goya for 'The Last Days', and Víctor del Castillo (Best Digital), an expert in immersive sound, who will lead two workshops.
Low-cost, advertising, sports production (with the presence of part of the technical team that carried out the broadcasts of the BCN 2013 World Swimming Championships) or animation are other aspects that will be addressed. Among the speakers, the co-founder of Kandor Graphics stands out (Justin and the Sword of Courage, The Lost Lynx, The Lady and Death…).
En la última jornada, destacados expertos reflexionarán sobre los nuevos estándares DVB-T2 y H.264, la gestión del espectro radioeléctrico en Europa, o el big data y su aplicación en la industria de media.
