Transmisjelive broadcasts live for the Polish Football Association with Blackmagic Design

Transmisjelive uses some Blackmagic Design solutions such as the popular Ursa Broadcast camera or the ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K switcher in the production of sports events for the Polish PZPN.

Some of the solutions Blackmagic Design like the popular Camera Ursa Broadcast or the mezclador ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K, are being used in the transmission from outside of a wide range of content for the Polish Football Association (PZPN).

Transmisjelive, a specialist in live productions, is responsible for creating all content for Łączy nas piłka (the ball that unites us), the YouTube channel of the Polish Football Association. These include images of second division matches and everything that happens in the national, youth and women's leagues. "Our cameras provide fans with exclusive information and a different perspective than traditional LPs, which is reflected in the large number of people subscribed to the YouTube channel," he explained. At each event, Transmisjelive deploys its UHD mobile unit fully equipped with Blackmagic Design products including a matriz Smart Videohub to distribute the signals. Images captured by six Ursa Broadcast units are transmitted to an ATEM 2 M/E Production Studio 4K switcher, which is used to overlay graphics and perform slow-motion replays.

“The Polish Football Association's content aims to highlight excellence at all levels of football, from league matches that help create club communities to international national team matches,” says Kuszel.

According to him, in order to demonstrate a continued commitment to improving access to the sport at all levels, it was essential to implement a solution that would allow live feeds to be broadcast.

Flexibility

"The Ursa Broadcast model adapts perfectly to this scenario. It is extremely flexible and allows us to carry out professional production with several cameras, even if the stadiums do not have the necessary infrastructure or connectivity for this. This is due to the modular design of Blackmagic products," he indicates.

Another of the channel's most important objectives is to promote future stars, and consequently it broadcasts YouTube the matches of the Central Youth League, in which under-19 teams from clubs belonging to the first division of Polish football compete. “In addition to providing complete coverage of the matches, the system allows young people to gain experience in on-camera interviews from a much younger age,” says Artur.

The content is broadcast on YouTube through the OBS program. As a backup, a second live signal is transmitted to Transmisjelive's remote production studio in Warsaw, using a joint SIM card via a LTE connection.

"Our purpose is to provide a stable live broadcast, regardless of the weather conditions, the quality of the Internet connection or where we are. The system that we have implemented with Blackmagic Design products is extremely reliable, even in the most demanding conditions, and our independent connection guarantees uninterrupted coverage of all matches," concludes Artur Kuszel.
