The Mediapro Studio and Chilevisión sign a co-production agreement
'El Discípulo del Chef', a large-format culinary talent, is the first project of this alliance with the Turner Latin America group network.
The Mediapro Studio has reached a co-production agreement with Chilevision, a chain belonging to the Turner Latin America group, in order to reinforce its international expansion. The first project included in said agreement is The Chef's Disciple, a program that has the collaboration of Phileas Productions.
Space is one of The Mediapro Studio's big bets in the field of non-fiction and as such it will be presented at the next edition of MIPCOM. The Chef's Disciple It aims to make a difference compared to other similar entertainment formats as it is a different, daring and fresh approach to the genre of culinary talent.
In its first season, this great entertainment format will consist of 24 episodes that will be broadcast in prime time, which gives an idea of its magnitude in terms of production and realization.
Chilevisión has recently opened casting for the program, in which renowned chefs will participate. The strategy and gastronomic dissemination will go hand in hand in the show, intended for a family audience. Talent will offer an aspiring chef the opportunity to train among the best kitchens.
Con The Chef's Disciple, The Mediapro Studio and Turner Latin America strengthen their commitment to the production of innovative and original formats, thus offering an alternative for quality content, this time in the Chilean market. This project is part of the five-year global agreement that both companies sealed for the development and co-production of multiplatform content for Latin America. It contemplates a total investment of 9me, and already has the production of the 8-episode fiction series The Braves F.C.
Laura Fernandez Espeso, TV director of The Mediapro Studio, comments that this alliance “is an excellent opportunity to add our experience to their talent and thus contribute to the dissemination of innovative and quality content in the country, thus confirming our leadership in content production.”
For its part, Javier Goldsmith, Director of Programming at Chilevisión, explains that "we are very happy to be able to finalize this alliance with The Mediapro Studio, with whom we have achieved an excellent level of synergy regarding the development of formats and new content opportunities. Both parties have great human teams, being The Chef's Disciple “the beginning of a long-term work.”
