Máximo Ibarra will replace Andrea Zappia at the head of Sky Italia
Ibarra is recognized for his experience in digitalization, marketing and customer service. Before joining the Dutch operator KPN he worked for the Italian company Wind Telecommunications.
The current CEO of KPN, Maximo Ibarra, will replace Andrea Zappia at the helm Sky Italia starting October 1, the date on which he will leave the top executive management of the Dutch operator.
Ibarra led Italian telephone operator Wind from 2012 to 2017, and oversaw its successful merger with rival 3 Italia. Later, he joined KPN as CEO.
“The upcoming launch of the broadband offer will allow us to continue expanding our business in a very important area for our customers and in which Maximo has great experience,” said Zappia, former CEO of Sky Italia and currently responsible for Sky's operations in continental Europe.
Ibarra is recognized for his experience in digitalization, marketing and customer service. Previously he worked for the Italian company Wind Telecommunications, where he served as CEO since 2012. As of 2016, responsible for the integration of the 50/50 joint initiative between the Italian telecommunications company activities of VEON (Wind Telecommunications) and CK Hutchison (3 Italy).
El ejecutivo ha estudiado política y economía en la Universidad de Roma “La Sapienza”, Italia. Además, es catedrático de Marketing y Marketing Digital en la Luiss University & Business School de Roma.
50 years old, Ibarra has Colombian and Italian nationality, and speaks fluent English, Italian and Spanish.
