Father there is only one

Within the framework of the 34th edition of the Goya Awards and in order to bring cinema closer to the inmates, thus contributing to their social reintegration process, the Film Academy presented last Friday Father there is only one in it Malaga Penitentiary Center. After the screening of what is the most viewed Spanish film of 2019, a discussion took place in the Preventive Module assembly hall in which the 170 inmates spoke with its director and protagonist, Santiago Segura, y Toni Acosta, main actress of this film that is already filming its second installment.

The inmates, who received the filmmaker and the performer with applause, stated that the story had made them laugh and also think. "Sharing the film with you is a new and rewarding experience. I thought that since it was not a delivery of Torrent "You weren't going to like it and the reception has been wonderful," Segura told them.

Most of the inmates' questions were for Segura – is it autobiographical? Which Torrente installment do you choose? Do you pay your friends who make cameos in your films? – to whom they also told jokes and congratulated him for his role in The day of the beast, and one of them, who studies drama at the center, offered to work without pay “but only the first time.”

“You have given me a life lesson, you have taught me to be a father and to fight for the family,” one of the inmates confessed, a comment that moved the director, actor and producer. "If they let me, I will continue making films. I have separated Torrent and now I'm with the children.
