Demonstrations of the SmartPed robotic pedestal with absolute navigation options will join powerful, autonomous pan/tilt heads with enhanced control systems.

Shotoku SmartPedShotoku will launch in NAB 2020 in Las Vegas the next phase of technical and operational developments for robotic control systems. Among other novelties, it will demonstrate the advances that incorporate an IP interface in its emblematic SmartPed robotic pedestal; a self-contained, easy-to-connect pan/tilt head; numerous improvements incorporated into the company's TR-XT control system and will also highlight its height drive and pan/tilt head ideal for legislative applications.

SmartPed It now offers an IP interface that allows it to interface with existing external optical tracking systems such as Mosys StarTracker or Stype RedSpy using the absolute tracking information to reference and adjust the pedestals' own internal navigation systems. AN-S provides a fully integrated solution, including optical tracking system for situations where customers do not already have optical tracking installed.

He TG-18i, the latest version of the TG-18 studio pan/tilt head, provides a fully integrated head with a large payload and easy connectivity. All the key features that have made the TG-18 so successful remain, such as seamless movement and full manual override with fluid damping, all in a new self-contained package.

Regarding the control system TR-XT will be displayed with multiple improvements that will further expand the capabilities of this already powerful and intuitive control system.

As for the TR-XT, the flagship control system of the Shotoku platform, it will be demonstrated with the new LiveView option that uses a secondary IP video camera to provide a wide-angle scene view for each camera. LiveView allows operators to command heads to new positions by simply touching a high-angle live video view of the studio, gently repositioning the head toward the selected presenter, guest or other area of interest.

Also highlight the demonstrations that will be carried out with Studio Zones which easily define the areas within a studio where cameras can or cannot travel. The zones have a dynamic understanding of the survey equipment to avoid no-go areas and potential collisions. In addition to each SmartPed's unique on-board collision avoidance system, Studio Zones offer a higher level of operator control to ensure smooth and safe operation within the environment.Shotoku TR-XT Zones

Complete automation

Shotoku will showcase its enhanced automation interfaces that allow not only retrieval of preset shots, but full on-the-fly camera adjustment from external systems, even including face tracking and recognition systems.

The TG-27/MicroPDU pan/tilt head and power supply, designed for legislative environments, provides a high-end solution for any size legislative or conference system when used in conjunction with Shotoku's TR-S control panel and its fully automated Orchestra control system. It is used every day in many of the world's most important national and regional legislatures, in houses of worship, and in global corporate organizations.
