Canal+ uses SGT (Hexaglobe Group) technology to strengthen its OTT

To meet the customer's expressed need for resource sharing and optimization, SGT has deployed four channel-in-box systems connected to the existing VEDA solution. As part of Hexaglobe Group's core strategy, this project, which began in mid-October, was completed in record time, with two live channels already in production at the end of 2019.

Provider of automation solutions for Canal+ for more than fifteen years, SGT already supplies the fourteen linear broadcast channels of the Canal+ group with its suite VEDA (Automation and Media Asset Management). For its myCanal OTT platform, it has been decided to deploy four channels in one box, connected to the VEDA system in production.
The implementation of these new channels had to respond to an imperative of operational and technical optimization. To face this challenge, the system includes an algorithm that allows these new broadcast channels to be automatically managed from existing ones.
