TV formula choose vsn for news production

The Georgian channel is committed to a complete end-to-end solution of VSN to cover the workflows of the news for news production, automation and content distribution.

The Georgian television channel Formula TV, whose emissions began in October 2019, has opted for a Complete end-to-end solution of VSN to cover the workflows of the channel for News production, automation and distribution of content

Georgia's new television channel was created by the television and video production company, Formula Creative. The main objective of this project was to allow the TV formula team, previously in charge of the production of content of another television channel, could maintain the audience ratings so successful that it once managed to reach in the previous channel.

TV formula needed to have a flexible solution that allowed journalists to produce news quickly from anywhere in the world. To do this, the company decided to acquire VSN NewsConnect, the first web plugin of a MAM system that allows to unify and integrate under a single interface all the tools and systems necessary for the production of news, making them easily accessible from the interface of most NRCs available in the market.

VSN NewSconnect will allow TV formula to access through the NRCS interface to the platform VSNExplorer and, specifically, to the modules of Media Asset Management (MAM) and Production Asset Management (PAM) which will be used to manage the entire life cycle and organize the company's production environment.

Likewise, it will also allow the NRCS to be integrated with the study playout VSNLivecom and the CIAB VSNOneTV, which in this case will be used as a video server and as a graphics system so that journalists can work with the VSNONE TV graphics templates and can add them to the news and arrange on video. All from the NRCS interface itself.

Automation

Together, an MCR automation system with reduced configuration, based on VSNONE TV, and the VSNAUTITOREC solution for video intake from any available source will also be implemented as part of the project. The installation will also have the HTML5 traffic and planning system, VSNCrea, for content planning and distribution, and with the system VSNBroadrec, and multichannel intake server of great reliability for monitoring and legal copy.

The project is completed with a shared content storage Dell EMC Isilon and with the file solution DAC ALTO. In conclusion, VSN's proposal offers TV Formula the possibility of having an end-to-end uninterrupted workflow that facilitates the daily work of journalists and allows them to produce and publish news quickly from a single centralized interface.
