RTVE expands its information offer with a new official news channel on YouTube

El objetivo es aumentar y concentrar la actividad de los informativos de RTVE (La 1, La 2, Canal 24 Horas, Teledeporte, RNE y Noticias Digitales) en esa plataforma.

RTVE amplía su oferta informativa con un nuevo canal oficial de noticias en YouTube. El objetivo es aumentar y concentrar la actividad de los informativos de RTVE (La 1, La 2, Canal 24 Horas, Teledeporte, RNE y Noticias Digitales) en esa plataforma.

The new channel will offer up-to-the-minute information from all over Spain with contributions from all territorial centers and information units (60 information points distributed throughout Spain), with special coverage these days of the effects of the coronavirus pandemic in Spain and the rest of the world.

Los usuarios de YouTube podrán acceder a la emisión en directo del Canal 24 Horas, a la programación informativa especial que en estas semanas está ofreciendo RTVE y a las comparecencias de los líderes políticos. Además de los directos, podrá accederse también a secciones especiales como Consultorio Coronavirus, donde estos días se resuelven dudas sobre el coronavirus que nos hacen llegar los espectadores, o RTVE Verifica, en la que se desmienten algunas de las noticias falsas o fake news que se viralizan incontroladamente en internet.

Como explica Enric Hernández, director de Información y Actualidad de RTVE, “en estos momentos donde es especialmente necesario el acceso a una información veraz y contrastada, queremos hacer un esfuerzo especial por poner lo mejor de la programación informativa de RTVE al alcance de un público joven acostumbrado a pasar gran parte de su tiempo en otras plataformas como YouTube”.

“The new news vertical allows us to better structure the information activity that was already taking place in the RTVE account, enhance it with other content from the different information areas and provide it with a distinctive identity at a time when the platforms are making an effort to make quality information content more visible,” underlines Ignacio Gómez, director of RTVE Digital.

The channel will also pay attention to international information, and will rely on the strength of RTVE's 15 international correspondents, which will allow users to obtain information from verified sources about what happens every day in the world. It will also publish information from the main news and current affairs programs on TVE and RNE.

RTVE's informative content can also be followed on La 1, La 2, Canal 24H and Teledeporte. Also in www.rtve.es/noticias, in the application RTVE News for iOS and Android, in the specials of Lab RTVE and in specific applications for vo assistantsz. And with their specific accounts on the rest of the major social networks.
