Bridge Technologies lanza Integrated Services Monitoring (ISM)
This set of tools provides valuable information about the performance of content production, contribution and distribution networks.
Bridge Technologies lanza Integrated Services Monitoring (ISM) a set of tools designed to provide a insight into the performance of content production, contribution and distribution networks, not only for the engineers in charge of daily operations, but also for management to evaluate the overall performance of the operation.
The integrated service surveillance is an approach to quality that addresses the multiple layers of the broadcasting and media cycle, from production to signal acquisition, contribution streams, OTT/broadcast media, traditional DTT/satellite broadcast distribution and image archiving.
Simen K. Frostad, President of Bridge Technologies, comments that "ISM provides exactly the set of data collection tools that broadcasters need along the entire chain from production to delivery, uncompressed or compressed. No other company in the network monitoring and analysis space can offer such a complete and exhaustive set of automated capabilities that offer such a high level of understanding along any content delivery chain."
Integrated service monitoring allows for single, pre-integrated approach to the most complex tasks that face the modern broadcaster, putting automated eyes on all acquisition, delivery and production media flows, all from a single supplier, avoiding the need for complex bespoke engineering.
This new proposal is a media monitoring system compatible with SD, HD, UHD and even 8K. It covers contribution streams using various encapsulation techniques, including JPEG2K encapsulated in TS and SRT, in addition to traditional IPTV; acquisition of signals from terrestrial and satellite sources; and includes pre-demodulation signal analysis, pre- and post-coding analysis for IPTV, cable delivery and remote PHY, as well as pre- and post-coding up to the source for OTT distribution, monitored using QoE parameters such as MOS scores. All data is recorded for instant retrieval in an easy-to-use visual timeline or formatted as PDF reports that are automatically generated and emailed to whoever needs them.
"Integrated Service Monitoring represents the accumulation of our more than 15 years of experience in developing, manufacturing and deploying the most advanced solutions to ensure maximum uptime of content production, contribution and distribution networks around the world. From the network engineer at a remote site to the master control center (MCR) staff who need visibility into everything that is happening, to management who require SLAs and other insightful indicators of overall network performance, Service Monitoring Integrated is there to deliver what they need, when they need it,” adds Frostad.
Integrated surveillance services allow once data has been “acquired” by a probe, it can be used for multiple uses.
"Take, for example, the VBC top-level system as part of the ISM framework. It is a management system that, by adding a single IP address to a remote probe, immediately starts collecting massive amounts of data directly into the database. That is very powerful as suddenly all the advanced reporting and analysis comes automatically," adds Frostad.
