Bridge Technologies - VB440

Bridge Technologies has significantly expanded the capabilities of its production-focused monitoring probe, the VB440.

VB440, an ultra-low latency analysis tool for compressed and uncompressed data in a variety of IP and SDI production environments, can now review all types of subtitles. This novelty, compatible with both subtitles (OP-47) como Closed Captions (CEA-608/CEA-708), provides a display of the incoming auxiliary data in the output reference video, allowing the user to review, control and correct the placement of subtitles and characters. Along with the display of subtitles, the so-called “view debug” offers even deeper insight with decoder logs, coding errors, field reversal warnings and a display of the grid itself.

On the other hand, the new functionality of Packet Capture (PCAP) has been designed thinking about those users who are immersed in a transition of SDI a IP 2110.

Simen Frostad, president of Bridge Technologies, explains that the latest improvements to the VB440 seek to “create the definitive and indispensable production tool.” Furthermore, he adds that “the VB440 has special value for those working in the field of remote, offsite and distributed production, as it offers production professionals the tools and vision they need to carry out both creative functions and technical review of production quality from anywhere in the world, all through an HTML-5 browser.” “Ultimately, this translates into higher production values, greater flexibility and creative potential, and lower production costs,” he concludes.
