Yamaha launches new HS MP series self-powered monitors
In the fifteen years since Yamaha introduced the HS series of self-powered monitors, they have become a favorite for nearfield applications and studio environments.
Yamaha Pro Audio has a history of innovation dating back to 1969. Since the launch of the VA120 vocal amplified system, the company has continued to expand its professional audio offering, which includes several generations of mixing consoles, power amplifiers, speakers and signal processors in their categories.
Many of them have become industry standard equipment for many applications, from radio and television studios to global live events and a wide range of commercial spaces.
Now, the new special edition of HS MP self-powered monitors includes three models: HS5 MP, HS7 MP y HS8 MP. Each pair of monitors is manufactured according to a unique process using specially selected parts and matching serial numbers and shipped in a special paired box labeled MP (Matched Pair).
HS MP monitors continue to adhere to the rigorous design principles that have guided Yamaha designs since the legendary NS10M Studio monitors, first manufactured in 1977.
These monitors essentially define the appearance and sound preferred by studio engineers around the world and were followed up in 1998 with the MSP5 self-powered studio monitor. With this, Yamaha's range expanded into more critical listening environments, where even more faithful reproduction of the original sound was demanded.
In the 2000s, the MSP/MSP Studio series took advantage of Yamaha's latest technical advances to meet the ever-evolving needs of customers and offer the exceptional sonic precision of a range that, today, continues to be an emblematic product.
In 2005, with the rise of bits and sample rates, the need for even higher quality nearfield monitors grew. The HS series offered the latest in precision and fidelity of sound and was updated in 2013 with the next generation version. Delivering even greater sonic precision, this range was also offered in the HS-I version, equipped with mounting points and the ability to use speaker stands to conveniently mount it on walls, ceilings or bars.
The special edition HS MP monitors are a fitting way to celebrate the 50th anniversary of Yamaha's Pro Audio vision, with extraordinary quality details that help ensure the optimal outcome of your next projects. Expanding the range and options of the current HS series, Yamaha monitors continue to meet and exceed the sonic and aesthetic needs of an increasing number of customers.
