Vimond integrates Zixi's software-defined video platform

The partnership with Zixi will help Vimond realize that vision of delivering broadcast-quality video with the lowest latency for the world's largest brands.

Zixi y Vimond have reached an agreement to integrate the Software Defined Video Platform (SDVP) with the tool cloud video editing collaborative.

Under a SaaS cloud architecture, Vimond IO is a browser-based video editing solution for all social media channels and platforms. With Vimond's video editor, users can quickly monetize content by editing from anywhere, anytime, in an easy-to-use interface with all the tools needed to create the perfect story.

Using Vimond IO, editors can easily generate, near real-time, highlight pieces, including adding channel-specific branding to their videos with graphic elements such as animated lower thirds, logos or text overlays, and then publish the direct to social media or the client's asset management system.

Now, Vimond has integrated the Zixi software-defined video platform to provide a cloud-based collaborative editing tool, designed to meet the new requirements for efficient video production. With Vimond IO and Zixi, customers can achieve rapid delivery of mezzanine-quality video for remote news and sports productions.

The Zixi integration provides a low latency, content-aware and network error-corrected live ingest, allowing users to overcome the connectivity challenges inherent to remote productions. Organizations with existing Zixi distribution workflows can deliver their live content directly to Vimond IO using Amazon Web Services AWS S3, and those that don't can deliver Zixi streams directly to the Vimond IO service using one of the dozens of Zixi Enabled Network live streaming encoders that already have Zixi built-in.
