RTVE increases its presence in America
Many American distributors opt for RTVE's offer to offer their subscribers a greater number of channels during confinement.
RTVE has increased in recent weeks penetration of its international channels in different countries of America. Many distributors, in order to offer their subscribers a greater number of channels, and greater entertainment possibilities during the confinement caused by the pandemic, have decided to take advantage of this growing demand to acquire the rights to distribute some or all of RTVE's international channels.
Among the distributors that have decided to include RTVE's international channels in their offers, the following stand out:
- In Costa Rica, Cablecentro will distribute the international TVE channel.
- In Peru, CJG Cable, which operates in Oxapampa, will include the TVE and 24H channels, Inti Sat, which operates in Cuzco, will include TVE and CLAN, and Cable Fast will distribute the CLAN and STAR channels in its five headers.
- In Bolivia, AXS It will distribute the international TVE channel through DTH technology to cover the entire country, and through IPTV technology in La Paz, Cochabamba and Santa Cruz.
- In Belice, Alternative Networks, which operates in the country's capital, is the first distributor to market international TVE and STAR.
- and in Guatemala, El Salvador and Colombia, the operators Sistecom, which covers the south-eastern area of Guatemala; New Telecom, which covers the capital San Salvador, and Adminred, with operations in Bogotá and two towns in Cundinamarca and Huila, respectively, have acquired the rights to distribute the complete package of international channels: TVE international, 24H, CLAN and STAR.
Although the contracts are already closed, in some cases the start of operations may be delayed a little, as is the case of AXS of Bolivia, which will begin broadcasting RTVE channels in June.
