ATEME expands its presence in America

The provider of broadcast-quality encoders and transcoders makes key appointments and opens new offices in the region. Raúl Rivera will lead sales, while Gustavo Marra will lead engineering support.

ATEME has recently made some significant changes to its coverage of the Americas region. Among other actions, the opening of a regional office in Miami that will cover both Latin America and the East Coast of the United States stands out. In combination with the company's headquarters in Hollywood, the new office will give ATEME a presence on both coasts of the United States and a solid infrastructure to support its clients in the region.

ATEME has also appointed Raúl Rivera as sales director for Latin America. Rivera brings years of experience and industry knowledge acquired at companies such as Netgem or Minerva. He will bring his experience in telecommunications, cable networks and OTT.

For his part, Gustavo Marra will direct ATEME's engineering activities throughout the region. For eight years at TV Globo, Marra has participated directly in the deployment of Digital Terrestrial Television in Brazil. It has key experience in solutions related to ISDB-Tb emission for HD and SD and 1SEG. You will also bring valuable experience in contribution areas, a market in which ATEME offers solutions from MPEG-2 to AVC MPEG-4 04:02:02 10 bit in both encoders and decoders.
