The spectator will be able to choose between real or virtualized sound in the return of LaLiga
LaLiga and Mediapro work hand in hand so that the viewer can enjoy football from home through the television with the best experience.
Javier Tebas, president of the National Professional Soccer League, has confirmed to the clubs in the telematic General Assembly held this Thursday that the championship will restart its activity on the weekend of June 12, which is scheduled to end on July 19.
Although we already know that Sevilla-Betis will be the first match after the return of football,
Tebas did not want to make any calendar official since it will depend on the evolution of the COVID-19 pandemic in the country.
Taking into account that the meetings will be held until further notice from the Ministry of Health behind closed doors, the role of television will be more key than ever.
At this moment LaLiga and Mediapro They work hand in hand so that the spectator can enjoy football from home through the television with the best experience. At the moment, the possibility is being considered that the spectator can choose between the sound of the empty stadium with the only voices of players and technicians or activate virtualized sound with ambient recordings with the spectators in the stands (recorded from previous matches).
In the case of the German Bundesliga, the broadcasts include virtualized sound without giving the option to choose real sound.
"Television is an intermediary between football and the spectators who are at home. The stands at home are very important. We like live spectators, we are sad because there cannot be any, but thanks to the stands at home, we would have to close and it would be another story," Tebas assured.
Soccer in residences
Mediapro and LaLiga have reached an agreement to offer for free the remaining LaLiga Santander and LaLiga Smartbank matches of the 2019/20 season in all nursing homes of Spain who wish it.
It will be through LaLigaTVBar, the channel for hospitality and public establishments operated by the Mediapro group, and can be requested through the different telecommunications operators that offer said channel, with the aim of distributing the signal to all televisions in the residence.
This gesture seeks to break the isolation and loneliness that both residents and the staff in their care have been enduring after the COVID-19 health crisis, which has forced the confinement of all residents in care centers for the elderly.
