Grass Valley LDX-100

The European Audiovisual Services Company ES Broadcast He has taken another step in his commitment to new IP environments with the incorporation of half a hundred cameras LDX 100 of Grass Valley.

The new LDX 100 cameras will become an important component of the UHD-IP team portfolio of Es Broadcast and will be available for their customers worldwide.

This camera offers up to three times more speed in the capture of native images in 4K UHD and 3G/HD. An autonomous IP device that connects directly to the network, up to 100 Gbps, takes advantage of all the power and agility of the IP offering an easy and fast installation and configuration and the possibility of adding functions as necessary.

Ben Murphy, General Director of Es Broadcast comments that “IP technology provides flexibility and efficiency in live productions by allowing remote and distributed workflows that have become crucial, especially in sports, in the current global climate. This purchase is the last evolution of our long association with Grass Valley, over the years we have built a solid working relationship with them and we have a real confidence in the quality of their solutions”.

"The LDX 100 is the most advanced camera in the market and this acquisition underlines our determination to offer a pioneer transmission technology on an unmatched scale. We are excited to bring this innovation to the sand of live production and beyond," he adds.

The integrated design of the LDX 100 releases multiple frame units per camera, previously dedicated to cameras base stations, simplifying the logistics of mobile productions when the appropriate number of cameras have to be attached to the CCUs in each event.

Tim Banks, Vice President of Sales for EMEA in Grass Valley, highlights that “with LDX 100, we put the entire power of IP within reach of our customers, directly from the camera, eliminating the need for separate base stations. The camera brings together the deep knowledge of Grass Valley on IP and its long inheritance in live production to create a solution prepared for the future that opens new possibilities in local production flows”.

"We are very proud that it is Broadcast has resorted to Grass Valley solutions on its way to the next growth phase. This is an important purchase of LDX 100 cameras for the rental market worldwide and reiterates our ability to offer the impressive images and the capacity to prepare for the future that our customers demand," he acknowledges.

A flexible software update option (temporarily or permanently available) will allow customers to take advantage of the extensive update capabilities of the LDX 100 platform and only pay for those characteristics when they wish.
