A large part of Spanish homes already have a 4K television, and this rising phenomenon will be one of the topics that will be analyzed in the sixth edition of the 4K-HDR Summit, which will be held on November 17, 18 and 19, organized by Medina Media Events with Panorama Audiovisual as media partner.

Based on data from the consulting firm GFK, one of the most relevant worldwide in the field of new technologies, the Country Product Manager in Spain of the multinational Vestel and brands like Toshiba, JVC e Hitachi, Javier Morago, will explain the behavior that the market has had in 2020.

“Despite the fact that physical stores have been closed for much of the year, the sale of Ultra High Definition (UHD) televisions has experienced a growth of 26% compared to 2019. And the year is not over,” Morago emphasizes in advance of his participation in the 4K HDR Summit.

The sixth edition of the main world event on Ultra High Definition will bring together, in virtual format, 30 top-level speakers to present the advances that this new technology has had in the last 12 months.

One of the effects that Vestel, one of the top 10 television manufacturers worldwide and which reaches 18% of sales in Europe, will reflect on will be that of the coronavirus (COVID-19).

“On the one hand, on the positive side for the technology industry and the audiovisual content industry, people have returned home and have turned their homes into their entertainment centers,” says Morago.

“But, on the other hand, there are also negative aspects that we will explain at the 4K HDR Summit,” explains Morago, who will also explain the evolution that the market has had since 2015 until now and what the forecasts are for the coming years.

Morago will participate in the 4K HDR Summit 2020 within the block dedicated to the Spanish Ultra High Definition Association (UHD Spain), in which they will also be Antonio Fernández-Paniagua (Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation), Pere Vila (RTVE), Xavier Redón (Cellnex), Carlos Castan (Canon), Jorge Rodriguez (Hispasat), Emily Planas (Mediapro) and the professor at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, Jose Manuel Menendez.

Those registered for the 4K HDR Summit Virtual 2020 will be able to follow the sessions by streaming, in addition to consulting online demos, attending exclusive webinars and networking through video meetings with speakers and participants.
