Fiber optics (FTTH) now have almost 11.5 million lines in Spain

82.7% of the total lines are concentrated in the three main operators, Movistar, Orange (including Jazztel) and Vodafone (including Ono).

Fiber optic connections to the home (FTTH) exceeded 11.4 million lines at the end of November 2020, according to data relating to the telecommunications market published by CNMCData of the National Markets and Competition Commission (CNMC).

40.2% of the total FTTH lines correspond to Movistar, with a park of 4.6 million lines. At an annual level, compared to November 2019, the increase of 1.4 million FTTH lines stands out compared to the loss of 0.8 million lines with DSL technology.

Mobile telephony

The mobile line park lost 137,465 lines in November. The month closed with a figure of 54.8 million mobile lines, which is 0.8% more than a year ago.

The three main operators represented almost 76% of the total mobile lines in the market.

In November, 669,300 mobile numbers were ported, which is 8.7% more than the volume registered in the same month of 2019.

Masmovil Group and the MVNOs recorded positive net portability balances, while Orange, Vodafone and Movistar presented negative balances.
