He Audiovisual Market of Catalonia (MAC 2020) has presented in a streaming from the Ship B1 of Roca Umbert Factory of the Arts in Granollers (Barcelona) the program of his 21st edition which will take place next November 11.

Joseph Maria Codina, director of the MAC, highlighted that this year's program has "level sessions", the result of a Content Commission made up of "professional people, who know the sector."

They will be a total of 15 live sessions and 8 pre-recorded, where those referring to 5G technology, the podcast or the dematerialization of radio and television studios, among others, stand out. He also recalled that the MAC will feature some of the most prominent voices in sports radio, as well as the presentation of the school radio network of the Catalan Countries, without forgetting the parallel activities and awards.

The Xarxa Audiovisual Local will present his Strategic Plan, a plan of plans that, in the words of the CEO of the XAL, Lluís Garriga, “puts the evolution of the sector on the table and draws the roadmap to be followed by local media in the coming years.” Garriga also recalled that, in another session, a study will be presented, carried out in collaboration with the Stream research group of the Blanquerna Faculty of Communication and Institutional Relations of the Ramon Llull University, on the evolution of proximity television audiences before and after the Covid-19 pandemic.

“This study explains the links between citizens and local media, a link that must be kept stable,” Garriga added.

Ignacio Genovés, general director of Media of the Generalitat of Catalonia, has valued the celebration of MAC 2020, which he described as “good news”, since it is “a meeting and exchange point, where people come to show and share experiences, to listen to aspirations and concerns and to delve into media trends in the coming years.”
