Sennheiser MD 435: the famous sound of the MD 9235 capsule now in a cable microphone

So far, the capsule's exceptional sound MD9235 live and broadcast productions can now be enjoyed on a wired vocal microphone with the dynamic capsule MD 435 of Sennheiser. The new MD 435 large diaphragm microphone adds more presence, brightness and pleasing detail to any voice.
Kai Lange, senior product manager at Sennheiser, comments that "with the high-end MD 435 cardioid microphone, even the softest voices will effortlessly gain more presence. Not only will singers stand out in the mix, but their voices will also retain that natural quality and detail for which the MD 9235 capsule is so famous."
The lightweight aluminum-copper coil of the MD 435 guarantees fast response to transients, resulting in a very detailed, nuanced and transparent sound, especially in the treble. The large diaphragm microphone offers a very wide dynamic range of 146 dB(A) and can withstand sound pressure levels of up to 163 dB at 1 kHz.
Its excellent acoustics are accompanied by a mechanical design designed to withstand the rigors of touring: the MD 435 is equipped with a metal casing and a capsule with anti-vibration suspension that protects it from structural noise. A hum canceling coil protects the microphone against electromagnetic interference.
The MD 435 cardioid microphone features a proximity effect very pleasant and offers good tolerance to the sound that reaches the capsule from different angles. It reproduces vocals clearly and reliably, even when live at very high volume levels.
The MD 435 microphone capsule, used with Sennheiser wireless transmitters, is also available as the MM 435 capsule. Featuring an improved production process, it will soon replace the current MD 9235 capsule. The MM 435 includes Sennheiser's standard capsule interface, making it fully compatible with Sennheiser's evolution wireless G4 series, 2000 series or Digital 6000 and Digital 9000 series wireless transmitters.
