Bando Post uses DaVinci Resolve Studio for high-profile advertising campaigns

Based in Istanbul, the Turkish post-production company uses Blackmagic Design technology in its projects to edit, create visual effects, sound design and carry out final grading.

The Turkish post-producer Post announcement has implemented DaVinci Resolve Studio of Blackmagic Design in their projects to edit, create visual effects, design sound and carry out final grading.

Based in Istanbul, Bando Post offers comprehensive services to high-end advertising agencies and has recently completed several projects with DaVinci Resolve, including ads for companies such as Adidas, Lenovo and LCW, a Turkish clothing and home goods brand.

“We began this study with the strong conviction that the diversity of voices fosters creativity,” he says. A. Tamer Çınarcık, one of the founders of Bando Post, better known as TamTam. "Implementing DaVinci Resolve in the post-production process was an important step in achieving this goal. Not only do we have an easy-to-use system that offers us Hollywood quality and allows us to compete in the international market, but we also have professional collaboration tools at our fingertips, in all of our departments."

Collaborative work

According to TamTam, this ability to work collaboratively has significantly optimized the speed and precision of the team, which translates into better service for customers. “Our biggest challenge in today's market is deadlines,” he says.

"In one of the promotional projects we carried out recently, we only had 24 hours to finish the audiovisual post-production. When the director came to review the low-res version, the editor simply made the changes, added the subtitles and then introduced the colorist. The latter agreed to the same project and completed the digital interlude according to the director's notes."

"We didn't have to export or import the material, which resulted in a much more efficient workflow. In addition, we noticed an improvement in accuracy. Previously, we imported and exported EDL files in several systems. This increased the margin of error, especially when carrying out advertising projects with tight deadlines," he adds.

The ability to hire staff and develop their talent was another advantage of the change. "In Turkey, even teenagers edit, grade and add effects to the material they post on their social networks. The integrated workflow of DaVinci Resolve is much more logical in this sense and is increasingly popular among the young professionals who make up our team," says TamTam.
