The Portuguese TSF Rádio covered the presidential elections with the support of AEQ solutions

For the transmission of the event, TSF has had 15-fader ARENA consoles, located in its two ON AIR studios and with the central control connected to the matrix by 64 AoIP channels, with AES/EBU redundancy.

TSF Radio News, which together with Rádio Renascença and Antena 1 is one of the three main radio stations in Portugal, covered the Portuguese presidential elections of 2021 held last Sunday, January 24, with the support of solutions from AEQ.

For this informative special, TSF had in its two onair studies with 15-fader Arena consoless, with the central control connected to the matrix for 64 AoIP channels, with redundancy in AES/EBU.

The AEQ Arena console, specially designed for the control of onair emissions, is supported by a control surface that has motorized faders, and allows up to nine virtual work pages which significantly increases the number of input/output signals that can be controlled by the fader from the mixer.

Among its functionalities, it offers fader start, cough cut-off, monitor cut-off, control and booth signaling, intercommunication, monitoring of all signals present in the system, remote control of hybrids and codecs...

The controls for each channel provide direct access to the main output buses, or to the main functionalities of the system.

It has 32 programmable keys with associated displays, for integration with other equipment: it is adapted by software and firmware to particular needs. GPI and GPO general purpose inputs and outputs.

Besides, simultaneously controls several studies and has the possibility of working as a Mix-Minus mixer with an unlimited number of N-1 circuits. In this mode of operation the control channels are converted into I/O channels.
