Van Wagner and Ross in Super Bowl starting lineup
As it has done for more than three decades, Van Wagner Productions will lead the production of the game while offering fans a memorable entertainment experience to complement the action on the field.
The team of Van Wagner Productions will be leading the production this weekend of the big show at the NFL as he has done for more than three decades, directing the production of the game and offering fans a memorable entertainment experience to complement the action on the field.
The edition Super Bowl LV will be no different, although the global COVID pandemic has obviously changed the nature of the event. A reduced capacity of 24,000 fans will watch the match in the stadium Raymond James of Tampa (Florida), and 7,500 of them will be vaccinated healthcare workers to whom the NFL has given tickets as a thank you for their work during the pandemic. It is also a historic event, as the Bucs will be the first team in league history to play a championship game in their home stadium.
Raymond James Stadium is the home of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, customers of Ross Video for a long time. The stadium production team, BucsVision, has grown with Ross' unified stadium control solution over the years and, together with Van Wagner and Ross, have added even more production power for this weekend's championship game.
The venue's control room has the production mixer Acuity, as well as with various engines XPression Studio, which will be used for the inset graphics. Regarding the control of the LEDs, XPression Card will control the main and corner screens, and the control system DashBoard It will synchronize all elements of the production for amazing opening elements.
In addition to the already powerful production system, they have been added Piero Broadcast y Piero Live para el análisis de las repeticiones y las líneas virtuales de Down & Distance.
The graphics rendering solution Voyager (powered by Epic Games' Unreal engine), along with cameras ACID, robotic camera heads Fury and the control system Lucid Studio, are set to deliver augmented reality (AR) graphics showing scoring plays and other next-generation statistical content for fans in attendance.
The stadium will also add LED screens that will cover the first ten rows of seats in the stadium. The 360-degree seat-covering screens will be powered by additional XPression Tessera engines that integrate seamlessly into the existing system. A very complete range, to say the least.
Bob Becker, executive vice president of Van Wagner, comments that “in these difficult times in the world, it is always nice to have a partner who not only shares your vision of organizing a world-class event every year, but also shares the creativity, work ethic and passion for what we do and how we want to entertain this very special audience this year.”
Ryan Kehn, creative director at Van Wagner, agrees: "Every year at this event we try to go further and show the audience something they've never seen before, and this year is no different. We know we can trust the team at Ross to help us carry out our vision and deliver a unique experience befitting the biggest game in the world. The crowd may be smaller this year, but our show has only grown, and there's no other partner we'd like to work with to help bring it to life."
For its part, Kevin Cotta, Vice President of Sports and Live Events at Ross, is once again delighted to participate in this prestigious event. "It's been a tough year for everyone in the sports and live events industry, and I hope this year's game in Tampa can be a celebration of our resilience and the first tentative step toward some normalcy. We are very proud and humbled to be working with Van Wagner Productions, who are the go-to production partners for some of the most prestigious sporting events in the world. Our relationship with them is first-class, and together with the production staff at BucsVision, we are going to give fans a spectacle to remember in a difficult moment that we all want to forget.”
