Ikegami adds to its series of cameras Unicam XE 4K the new UHK-X700 which incorporates three 2/3 inch 4K CMOS sensors Newly developed with global shutters to eliminate rolling shutter distortion and flash banding artifacts.

“Designed for broadcast quality video production and online streaming applications, the UHK-X700 is set to become the flagship of the Unicam series,” comments Michael Lätzsch, director of the Professional Video and Broadcast Division at Ikegami Electronics (Europe). "It offers high signal quality, versatile connectivity and a robust design that are essential in today's multi-resolution media world. This includes full support for high dynamic range images with HLG or standard dynamic range, as well as the ability to independently choose between BT.2020 and BT.709 color spaces. High frame rate recording is possible at up to 2x in 4K or up to 8x in HD via the base station as an option, for applications such as capturing fast movements in sporting or stage events.”

The core of the UHK-X700's electronics is a chip ASIC which encapsulates a wide range of high-level video processing functions in components of ultra-compact dimensions.

When combined with the Ikegami BSX-100 base station, the camera optionally supports simultaneous output in 4K/HD video formats, including mixed sources. 4K video is available as a 12G-SDI feed directly from the camera head, allowing the UHK-X700 to be integrated into a wireless system.

With dimensions of 340 x 243 x 149 mm and a weight of 5 kilos, the UHK-X700 comes with a montura de objective B4 and has an optical sensitivity of F11 when operating at 4K/50p. The chamber is designed for use at an operating temperature of -20 to +45°C and humidity of 30% to 90% without condensation.

The camera is evenly balanced and has a low center of gravity to ensure easy operation on a stand, tripod or shoulder. Peripheral options include the OCP-300 control panel and the SE-U430 system expander. Ikegami also offers the possibility of choose between three types of viewer for this model: VFL201D 2-inch LCD, VFL701D 7-inch Full HD LCD and VFE741D 7.4-inch OLED.
